Hofstra University is a private university in Hempstead, New York. The University began as an extension of New York University in 1935 and has since grown to welcome around 6000 students yearly. The University also provides specialized laboratories for engineering, computer science, and other subjects. Specialist schools include The Hofstra Law School and the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine.
